1.  Treat all guns as if they are loaded.

2.  Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.

3.  Keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to shoot.

4.  Know your target and what is around, and behind it.

5.  Keep the gun unloaded until you are ready to shoot. 

6. Never try to catch a falling gun.
