The Basic Pistol Shooting course introduces you to the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for safely owning and using a pistol.  The course includes 4-6 hours of classroom instruction, a knowledge check, practical exercise, and 1-2 hours of qualification on a local shooting range. Completion of this course meets the Concealed Carry application requirements

The National African American Gun Association (NAAGA) is pleased to offer the Basic Pistol Course, suitable for all individuals regardless of experience or ethnicity. This comprehensive curriculum teaches firearm safety, pistol operation, shooting techniques, legal considerations, and more. Join us for an exceptional learning opportunity.

The course comprises of 4-6 hours of classroom instruction, a knowledge check, practical exercise, and 1-2 hours on a local shooting range. Completion of this course meets Virginia’s Concealed Carry application requirement.

The Refresher Pistol course is ideal for shooters with previous formal training.  This course will reinforce your firearm safety mindset, and hone your shooting skills, so you can enjoy your firearm and range time with more confidence. The course includes classroom instruction, practical exercise, and a live fire shoot on a local shooting range. Upon completion students will receive a completion certificate, signed by your certified instructor.

The Concealed Carry Course is an advanced pistol training program. This 10-hour course focuses on teaching participants the proper techniques for drawing from a concealed carry holster and engaging targets. The curriculum covers topics such as Safety and Accountability, Concealed Carry Rules/Reminders, Defensive Marksmanship/Mindset, and more.

Prior completion of Freedom 1 Security’s Basic Pistol Course is a prerequisite. Participants are required to bring their own compact or full-size semi-automatic pistols and should have a reliable "kydex" appendix and/or Outside the Waist-Band hip holster designed for their specific firearm.
